Parents in the Norwin School District are concerned after a volunteer facing criminal charges was in attendance during a production of the middle school musical.

Parents expressed their concerns at a meeting Monday night.

School officials said the individuals had previously submitted proper volunteer clearances, but later pleaded guilty to crimes that would prevent a volunteer from meeting the criteria for clearances.

The volunteer did not notify the school district of this criminal record.

After an investigation, the district told the man he was not welcome on Norwin School District property.
